Post Manta Blade Fins

In almost 20 years of summer time bodysurfing i have had only 2 pairs of Manta Blade fins now that either tells you that i should body surf through the winter or i really look after them or they are quite well made.
The time i started at City Beach almost everyone had Manta"s on their feet but now the selection is over welming.
I find them comefortable to wear for 3 hours in a session but get sand in them and they eat your toes and ankles thats why i wear the wet suite material inserts. They propell through the water but they are heavier and sometimes drag when on a fuller wave."That could be the body surfer not the fins"
I do not wear velcro safety straps so if a wave rips them off i know they will bob up somewhere as they float. The other advantage is less effort treading water waiting for the big one!
I would try a lighter fin if i could but everyone has different size feet and bodysurfers don't hand them over that easily.
As a body board fin they are reasonably priced and i have stuck with them, but for how much longer!
