Scripps Pier is located in San Diego County, La Jolla proper. Home of the Scripps Institute of Oceanography the crystal clear waters, which frequently draw dolphins into the line-up.

A fairly exposed beach break that offers both left and right hand waves, with consistent surf regardless of time or season. Although winter tends to peak, when offshore winds blowing from the southeast delivering the best size and shaped waves. The south side of the pier draws more skilled bodysurfers and surfers, while the north side appeals to more novice/beginners and is a very popular destination for surf schools in the summer months.

Scripps Pier is the ultimate Southern California experience, with picturesque landscape, wide white sandy beaches, and a more laid back crowd.
